CAJE To Seek Commitments From Local Leaders

Religious leaders will ask local decision-makers to make commitments on housing and mental health care.

Congregations Acting for Justice and Empowerment – or CAJE – conducts its Nehemiah Action Monday night.

In a news release, CAJE says it will ask local leaders publicly to implement evidence-based solutions that the group’s research teams discovered during their months-long research-to-action process.

Humane Society Says Euthanizations Down

The Vanderburgh Humane Society says the number of animals euthanized at the local shelter continues to fall. 

The Indiana Attorney General filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Connecticut-based Purdue Pharma. The lawsuit alleges the company minimized the risks of addiction and exaggerated the benefits of opioids.
