Kentucky State Police say the blaze in the 2100 block of N. Elm St. was reported at about 4:00 a.m. by a woman who was inside the house but able to escape.

In a release, the KSP said 63-year-old Randy Hallmark of Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was taken to a hospital. Her identity was not released.

The KSP said its detectives, the Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s Office, and a KSP Arson Investigator are working to determine the cause of the fire in the small single-story home.
