University of Southern Indiana officials say they’ve ordered the members of an entire organization on campus to quarantine after several positive COVID-19 cases were reported late Friday.
The announcement came in an email to students and staff at USI from Dean of Students, Dr. Jennifer Hammat. The email said that contact tracing following reports of positive tests pointed to a single organization as the reason for the spike in cases.
Officials didn’t name the organization, but said all members were required to immediately quarantine, obtain COVID-19 tests and report the results to the university.
This latest spike has not shown up on USI’s COVID-19 online dashboard. The latest total for the week ending September 5 is 76 positive cases reported among students and staff at USI.
