Police have arrested an Evansville man in connection with the death of his three-month-old child.
In a release, the Evansville Police Department said officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 1100 block of Covert Avenue Wednesday night.
The caller said a baby was not breathing and was cold and limp.
Attempts to resuscitate the child were unsuccessful.
The EPD identified the child as three-month-old Kendrick Caruthers.
Officers arrested the child’s father, 23-year-old Rashid Caruthers, on a preliminary charge of neglect of a dependent causing death.
The investigation continues.
