Juvenile Arrested After Shots Fired

File

Police have arrested a juvenile following numerous reports of shots fired in an Evansville neighborhood.

In a release, Evansville Police Sgt. Nick Winsett said officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of S. Linwood Ave. Saturday night for a report of shots fired.

It wasn’t the first time. Winsett said police had responded to a high number of shots fired calls in that area.

The officers who responded Saturday night said they were able to pinpoint an address on S. Linwood where the shots came from.

Officers said they found juveniles inside the home with three stolen firearms.

Police arrested one of the juveniles on preliminary felony and misdemeanor charges.

The suspect’s name was not released due to his or her age.
