Authorities are investigating a suspicious fire on Evansville’s West Side.
Firefighters were called to a garage fire at 908 N. Fourth Ave. just before 5:00 Wednesday afternoon.
The first crew on the scene found a detached garage fully involved in flames.
In a release, EPD Division Chief Mike Larson said a witness reported seeing a suspect running from the fire.
Larson said no utilities were attached to the garage.
The information was passed on to Evansville Police, who opened an arson investigation.
There were no injuries reported.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 15 minutes.
