One Dead, One Wounded, One In Custody After Shooting

EPD

Evansville Police have arrested a young man in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and another man wounded.

20-year-old Elijah Parchman is accused of fatally shooting 32-year-old Bobby Minor of Evansville.

26-year-old Ikeem Minor was wounded but is expected to survive.

The EPD says the shootings happened in the 600 block of E. Virginia Friday night.

While investigating the shootings, police say Central Dispatch received a 911 call from Parchman, who identified himself as the shooter.

He was taken into custody at his home in the 600 block of E Iowa.

Police do not believe the victims knew Parchman prior to Friday night.

Officers were told the men engaged in a verbal dispute that escalated, and Parchman fired a handgun several times.

Parchman faces preliminary charges of Murder, Attempted Murder, and Criminal Recklessness.

He's lodged in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
