The Evansville Police Department has a new voice. WNIN’s John Gibson explains:
Sgt. Trudy Day has been named the department’s new Public Information Officer.
Sgt. Day has worked for the EPD for 24 years, most recently as a 3rd shift supervisor.
She replaces Sgt. Anna Gray who has served as PIO the past there years.
Sgt. Gray will become Supervisor in the Adult Investigations Unit.
She says it was a pleasure to serve as PIO and she’ll still be around to help when Sergeant Day and Officer Taylor Merriss are unavailable.
Merriss is the EPD’s Special Projects Coordinator.
