Evansville has spent the past years concentrating on building a more environmental friendly community. In the efforts of understanding the processes of this transition Director of Sustainability at IU William Brown will speak at the Evansville Museum on June 4th.
As the majority of the world's population now resides in cities for the first time in human history, the design of those places is critical to achieve sustainable, thriving and resilient communities.
Brown lived in Evansville 12 years where he specialized in sustainable architecture designs. He's co-founder of the Sustainable Evansville Area Coalition . He said the city and surrounding areas could possibly transform with trends like "sustainable buildings that demonstrate a path to the future."
"I am looking forward to the opportunity of giving my insight," said Brown. "Evansville and the surrounding areas could be rejuvenated by this trends."
Brown describes Evansville as dear to his heart. He grew up in Spencer county.
