If your bicycle breaks down on Evansville’s Greenway, you’ll have a way to repair it.
The city has partnered with Scheller’s Fitness and Cycling to install three bicycle repair stations along the Greenway.
They’re being erected this week at Garvin Park, Sunset Park, and at the Shirley James Gateway Plaza off Ohio Street.
Evansville Parks Director Denise Johnson says in a news release that the stations will have tools needed for basic bicycle repairs, like screwdrivers, wrenches, and a tire pump.
She says the tools are attached to a post with stainless steel cables to prevent theft or tampering.
Scheller’s manager Kyle Rickenbaugh says the repair stations have been a success in other cities. He says they represent a way for the business to give back to the community.
