Ft. Campbell Increases Restrictions, Deploying to Assist COVID-19 Response

U.S. Army

Fort Campbell has announced measures to deal with the coronavirus pandemic at the post while deploying soldiers to help deal with the outbreak elsewhere.

According to a release issued Wednesday evening, Fort Campbell’s 531st Hospital Center is deploying to New York to support that state’s response to COVID-19.

Soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team are getting ready in case they’re needed to reinforce the ongoing Southwest Border Mission.

Meanwhile, post officials announced that while there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Fort Campbell yet, there are more than 200 tests for virus pending.

They’re upgrading what’s known as their Health Protection Condition Level which means additional restrictions on personnel, dining facilities and childcare facilities.
