Evansville Police are asking for your help as they investigate a July 4th robbery.

It happened at about 11:25 Sunday night at the Chuckles Gas Station at 1601 S. Weinbach.

In a release, the EPD said a man demanded money from the clerk, who believed the suspect had a gun under his shirt.

The clerk gave the suspect money and he fled on foot.

The E.P.D. said a K9 was dispatched to the scene but was unable to locate him.

The robbery suspect was described as a black male, wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants, a white turban, and a yellow scarf or towel wrapped around his face.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Evansville Police Department’s Detective Office at 812-436-7979, or the WeTip Line at 800-78-CRIME.
