Over $100 million in projects to be implemented over the next five years.
During a virtual meeting Tuesday evening, Lloyd4U managers outlined a number of major improvements to intersections at Cross Pointe Boulevard, Burkhardt and Stockwell Roads on the Lloyd and a number of minor improvements, one of which some drivers may disagree is a minor improvement- they intend to remove the stoplight at Vann Avenue.
The major improvement areas will include features such as displaced left turn lanes and boulevard U-turns, which will eliminate the need for left turn signal lights at major intersections like Burkhardt Road.
Pavement will be completely replaced from Wabash Avenue west to County Line Road along with several bridges. Under consideration is the closing of some of the small street access points on the west side.
The Indiana Department of Transportation is taking public comment now and will unveil revised plans for the projects this fall.
