The Vanderburgh County Coroner has identified a man found after being shot in a near downtown Evansville neighborhood Thursday evening.
Vanderburgh County Coroner Steve Lockyear says 47 year old Donald Ray Brigham of Evansville died at Deaconess Midtown Hospital Thursday night.
Evansville police say Brigham was taken to Deaconess after being found lying on the street in the 1400 block of Parrett Street. Police had responded to the area on a shots fired call about six o’clock Thursday evening.
Medical aid was given at the scene and at the hospital for gunshot wounds, but Brigham died about four hours later. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday afternoon.
