EPD Looking for Suspects in Converter Thefts

EPD

Evansville Police are looking for suspects following the latest theft of catalytic converters.

The EPD has released surveillance photos from the theft in the 1500-block of N Fulton Ave.

In a release, Officer Taylor Merriss said the suspects were driving a white Chevy Silverado pickup truck, possibly with a Kentucky license plate.

Merriss said the truck appeared to have a front attachment that could be used for a snowplow.

Thieves target catalytic converters because they contain precious metals, like platinum, palladium, or rhodium that are valuable to scrap metal dealers.

If you have any information about the theft on Fulton Avenue, you’re urged to contact Evansville Police.

You can see the photos at news.wnin.org.
