In a release, Evansville Fire Department Division Chief Mike Larson said the blaze at Muffler Express on S. Weinbach Ave. was ruled an accident.

He said when firefighters arrived they saw flames in the bay area of the business.

Larson said three workers were inside the bay area when the fire started, and one of them was taken to St. Vincent Hospital as a precaution.

He said the flames singed the hair of all three workers and left two with minor burns.

Larson said the fire started as workers were transferring gasoline from a fuel tank, and firefighters extinguished the flames in about 20 minutes.

No firefighters were injured.
