SNAP benefit recipients have been at greater risk during the coronavirus pandemic because their options to shop for groceries online and have them delivered are limited.

In a release from the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, the agency announced that they have an agreement with the Instacart online grocerty platformnow so SNAP recipients can shop at Aldi’s.

Previously, only Amazon and Walmart were approved for the service in Indiana.

ALDI delivery and pickup via Instacart will be available daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., local time. Available time slots for pickup and delivery are listed during checkout and vary by store. Orders for delivery and pickup can be placed by customers for receipt in as fast as an hour or scheduled days in advance.
