The Evansville Police Department says it’s resuming extra patrols with an Indiana Criminal Justice Institute Traffic Safety Grant.
In a release, EPD Sgt. Nick Winsett says the grant will provide money for extra patrols in high crash intersections.
The grant entails aggressive driving, seatbelt, and DUI patrols in Evansville and Vanderburgh County.
The EPD said officers will be concentrating their accident prevention efforts through the end of December.
