COVID-19 testing has been extended in Downtown Evansville.
The Reopen Evansville Task Force says the testing at C.K. Newsome Center has been extended through August, as the number of confirmed cases continues to rise.
In a release, the task force said the testing — which is administered by OptumServe — is open to those who live and work in the Evansville area.
Operations will continue at the Newsome Center at Heidelbach and Walnut Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Testing is free but residents with insurance are asked to provide the information.
The state-funded testing is also available at the CVS Pharmacy on St. Joe Avenue and Deaconess Clinic on Lynch Road.
