Fire damaged an Owensboro restaurant Thursday night.
The Owensboro Fire Department says crews responded to Ernesto’s Mexican Bar and Grill at 611 Emory Drive at about 11:20 p.m.
On its Facebook page, the OFD said heavy black smoke was coming from the building when crews arrived.
The department said crews began “an aggressive attack that went interior” and they quickly got the fire under control.
There was no word of injuries and the OFD said the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
Ernesto’s opened earlier this year. It’s not clear when it might reopen.
