Woman Shot in Hand

File

An Evansville woman told police she was wounded when someone in an SUV with out-of-state plates fired a gun.

In a release, the EPD said officers were called to the 600 block of East Iowa Street at about 1:45 Sunday afternoon for a shots fired call.

Upon arriving, officers began treating 37-year-old Briauna Ronyel Robinson, who had been shot in the hand.

Robinson told police she believed the person who shot her took off in a White or Cream colored GMC Envoy with Mississippi license plates.

AMR took Robinson to a hospital, where it was determined the wound also caused some internal, non-life threatening injuries.

It’s believed the shooting stemmed from an argument between Robinson and guests that had been staying with her.

If you have any more information about this case, they are urged to contact the Evansville Police Department’s Detective Office at 812-436-4018.
