The coronavirus outbreak has turned many restaurants and bars into take out-only establishments.
Restaurant owners are expressing concerns about state orders to close their dining rooms, especially on St. Patrick’s Day — one of the busiest days of the year for bars.
Owners are expecting a big financial hit and the Indiana Restaurant and Lodging Association said workers in the industry could face reduced hours and layoffs.
Evansville Deputy Mayor Steve Schaefer tweeted Tuesday that restaurants and bars that are providing carry-out service contact the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber is compiling a list of businesses offering take-out service on its website.
