Former Soccer Coach Pleads Guilty to Child Seduction

File

A former youth sports coach has pleaded guilty to Child Seduction and Intimidation.

37-year-old Jeremy Tudela pleaded guilty to four counts of Child Seduction and one count of Intimidation in connection with a 2019 case in Evansville.

In a release, the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office said no plea agreement was offered and Tudela pleaded guilty as charged.

Prosecutor Nick Hermann praised the Indiana State Police investigation, which he said produced “overwhelming amounts of evidence.”

Hermann also said the victim in the case was “unbelievably strong” through the process.

The Prosecutor’s Office said a victim K9 named Wallis provided support and comfort to the victim on multiple occasions.

Tudela’s sentencing is scheduled for March 13th in Vanderburgh Superior Court.

He’s the former owner of Tudela Soccer Academy in Newburgh.

He’s being held in the Vanderburgh County jail. His bail is set at $50,000.
