New Leader Named at GRADD

The Green River Area Development District will soon have a new executive director.

The search committee charged with finding the replacement for retiring executive director Jiten Shah didn’t have to look far. They announced Wednesday that Joanna Shake, the current economic development director, will take over as executive director on May 1.

Shah is retiring after more than thirty years as executive director of the agency.

A release from GRADD says that Shake has 22 years experience with the agency. Henderson County judge executive Brad Schneider said in the release that Shake’s service to the GRADD region communities was a main factor in the selection.
