A child molesting suspect is in custody following a standoff with police.
Indiana State Police say troopers, members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, and Gibson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on County Road 525 South near Owensville Wednesday afternoon to execute a felony arrest warrant.
In a release, the ISP says 30-year-old Aaron Riggs was wanted out of Daviess County, Indiana for Child Molesting.
Police say Riggs barricaded himself on the second story of the home and refused to surrender.
The ISP says a SWAT team entered the home nearly five hours later and found Riggs hiding in a crawl space in the attic.
Officers arrested Riggs without further incident and took him to the Gibson County Jail, where he’s being held on a $500,000 cash only bond.
