An Owensboro woman is dead following a one-car crash in Daviess County.
Kentucky State Police say it happened at about 5:40 Tuesday afternoon on the U.S. 60 Bypass, near Kentucky State Road 54.
In a news release, the KSP says 38-year-old Ashley Dennis of Owensboro was westbound on the bypass when she lost control of her car.
The vehicle slid into the median, rolled over, and ejected Dennis.
Investigators say she was not wearing a seatbelt and excessive speed may have contributed to the crash.
The KSP says it’s not known if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
