EPD Identifies Shooting Victims, Continues Investigation

The Evansville Police Department has released the names of the five people wounded in a Sunday morning shooting. 

The victims who were shot outside the Sidetrack Tavern on E. Illinois St. have been identified as 37-year-old Antonia McReynolds, 29-year-old Binnie Bryant, 30-year-old Howard Phipps, 28-year-old Jennifer Lewis, and 28-year-old Adasha Dejarnett.

The EPD says all five are expected to survive.

Police arrested John Perteet shortly after the shootings.

The 32-year-old Perteet is charged with 5 counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

He’s being held on a $500,000 bond.

Police say their investigation continues.
