Good Shepherd student arrested for allegedly making threats

Evansville Police have arrested a student accused of threatening to shoot people at a local Catholic school.

The EPD says in a news release that officers were notified of the threats Monday night and took the boy into custody Tuesday morning at Good Shepherd School.

Police said he had threatened to shoot people at the school at Stockwell Road and Theater Drive.

The boy’s name has not been released, and the EPD says the investigation is ongoing.

Police are reminding the public that all threats will be taken seriously and those who make them will be charged to the fullest extent of the law.

Good Shepherd has been named a four-star school by the Indiana Department of Education five times, most recently for the 2014-2015 school year.
