Robbers steal e-cigarettes at knifepoint

Authorities are looking for two men who stole $900 worth of e-cigarettes from a north side convenience store.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says it happened at about 3:45 Saturday morning at the Windmill Bakery Circle K at Highway 41 and Petersburg Road.

In a news release, the sheriff’s office said the store’s clerks reported two men wearing hoodies and bandannas covering their faces entered the store and showed a knife.

The sheriff’s office said the suspects stole nearly $900 in electronic cigarettes and fled on foot.

A K-9 team from the Evansville Police Department tracked the suspects, but was unable to find them.

The robbers were described as a white man with a thin build and about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and a black man with a thin build, about 5 feet 10 inches tall.

Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to call the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office.
