Join us at the Annual Evansville Half Marathon in downtown Evansville, Indiana! The Evansville Half Marathon was founded to bring a first-rate racing event to the community – promoting health and well-being for all while generating funds to further our mission. This half marathon is a fundraiser for the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana, proceeds benefit youth programs in our community. Participants will experience Evansville parks and neighborhoods, run past historic Bosse Field and through Garvin Park, make their way through the Pigeon Creek Greenway, and finish back in Downtown Evansville. Finishers receive a custom medal to add to their collection. Our dedicated team makes sure runners are prepared with proven, in-person training – Team 13. With hundreds of volunteers, the Evansville Half Marathon is an experience where you will enjoy running 13.1 miles.

Don’t miss a Tri-State Christmas tradition! The VHS is host to the longest-running Pet Pictures with Santa event in the Tri-State, celebrating 40 YEARS IN 2026!! Mr. Claus himself makes the trip to Washington Square Mall from the North Pole during the first full weekend in November each year. This allows families to get their photos back in plenty of time for family Christmas cards!
Photos are $30 and include two poses with digital images for your use. (Add 4x6 prints for $5.) Costumes and accessories are encouraged, and accessories for pets are provided free of charge! Children, adults, and all species of pets are welcome in photos! (Really -- all pets! We have had potbellied pigs, miniature horses, rats, rabbits, a hedgehog, guinea pigs, a Sphinx cat, and more come to visit Santa!)
Proceeds benefit the mission of the Vanderburgh Humane Society!
