Indiana State Police arrested Trinity Duncan, 21, and Christopher Conlee, 23, both of Evansville

An Evansville couple faces intoxication and neglect charges after police say they were traveling impaired with their two small children and a loaded gun in the car. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

Indiana State Police say a trooper stopped a driver on I-69 near State Road 168 last (Wed) night for not having a front bumper and for a defective taillight.

The ISP says the trooper detected an odor of burnt cannabis and saw a glass smoking device containing suspected marijuana on the center console.

Police say the driver, identified as 21-year-old Trinity Duncan of Evansville, and her boyfriend passenger, 23-year-old Christopher Conlee of Evansville, both showed signs of impairment.

The trooper said he also observed their two small children in the rear passenger seat, and a loaded pistol on the floor in the rear passenger area.

Police took Duncan and Conlee to the Gibson County Jail.

The Indiana Department of Child Services took custody of the two children.
