Authorities say they confiscated more than 100 pounds of pot after a traffic accident in Gibson County. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The sheriff’s office says deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 41 near the White River Bridge early Thursday morning.
A deputy determined the vehicle was being used as a taxi and detected the odor of raw marijuana.
After a brief investigation, deputies say they found 100 vacuum-sealed baggies containing pot.
They arrested 19-year-old Haking Weeks of Newark, New Jersey and took him to the Gibson County Jail.
Weeks faces a felony charge of Possession of Marijuana.
The sheriff’s office says each bag weighed about 530 grams for a total of 116 pounds.
