A jury has convicted an Evansville man for the death of his six-month-old baby. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
Jurors found Shane Hedrick guilty of murder and neglect.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to Hedrick’s home last January and found six-month-old Kaysen Hedrick unresponsive.
Deputies said they tried to perform life saving measures but the child was deceased.
Shane Hedrick’s sentencing was set for February 21st.
The child’s mother, Loreena Nance, reached a plea agreement and was sentenced in May to two years on probation.
She pleaded guilty to two counts of neglect of a dependent.
