A man and a woman from Evansville face drug dealing and neglect charges after being stopped by Indiana State Police. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The ISP says a trooper patrolling I-64 in Perry County stopped a vehicle for speeding Sunday night.
The trooper spoke to the driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Myiona Frieson, and the passenger, 24-year-old Maurice Cobb, both of Evansville.
Police say the trooper recognized “indicators of criminal activity” and called for other officers to assist.
During a search of the vehicle, the ISP says officers found about three pounds of suspected marijuana, paraphernalia, and two handguns.
Police say Frieson had two small juveniles in the vehicle and they were turned over to a family member.
Officers arrested Frieson and Cobb and took them to the Perry County jail.
They both face drug-related charges, while Frieson also faces two counts of Neglect of a Dependent.
