Saundra Dodd, 68, died in Monday's crash in Livingston County, Kentucky

An Evansville woman and two children have died in a fiery crash in western Kentucky. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

It happened Monday afternoon on I-24 in Livingston County in a construction zone near the Tennessee River, where a semi collided with several other vehicles.

Kentucky State Police say 68-year-old Saundra Dodd of Evansville and two children in Dodd’s vehicle died at the scene.

The KSP said the semi driven by a New York man failed to slow down in the zone.

The crash injured several other people, two of which were airlifted to regional hospitals.

The truck driver was not injured.

There was no word of charges against him.

Police continue to investigate.
