Authorities plan to close the northbound lanes of I-69 in western Kentucky Thursday to complete a fatal crash investigation. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Kentucky State Police will shut down the northbound lanes at Slaughters to finish the reconstruction that was interrupted by heavy rain.
Troopers had to postpone completion of the probe during the early morning hours Wednesday.
There no word yet on the identity of the woman killed in the crash.
Police now plan to close both northbound lanes from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday to complete the work.
During those two hours, northbound traffic will detour at KY 138 and follow the state road west to U.S. 41.
The next onramp to return to the interstate is on KY 56, about 18 miles away near Sebree.
