Kentucky AG's Office Joins Teague Probe

File
Heather Teague, 1995

Heather Teague has been missing since 1995

The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office says it’s joining the case of Heather Teague. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Teague was abducted from Newburgh Beach – on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River -- in 1995.

She has never been found.

A person of interest in her disappearance, Marty Dill, killed himself as police attempted to arrest him.

The Kentucky State Police is still the lead investigative agency in Teague’s disappearance but the attorney general’s office says if a prosecution occurs, it will be conducted by the special prosecutions division of the AG's office.

The missing woman’s mother, Sarah Teague, has been performing her own investigation the past 29 years.

She successfully sued the KSP to obtain files in the case.
