A man suffered a leg wound; police seeking public's help

Evansville Police are investigating a weekend shooting that sent a man to the hospital. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

It happened shortly after 6:00 Saturday evening at the intersection of Washington and Evans avenues.

Investigators were told that a man discharged his firearm at two subjects who arrived at his home, were making threats, and were also armed with guns.

A short time later, Central Dispatch received a call from a local hospital that an adult male had arrived with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Officers determined that his injury was connected to the shots fired call at Washington and Evans.

The man survived the shooting and was receiving medical treatment.

No arrests have been made.

Police ask anyone with more information on the shooting to call the EPD’s Adult Investigations Unit at 812-436-7979.
