A third suspect is in custody in connection with last weekend’s double homicide on Evansville’s West Side. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
Evansville Police say the suspected shooter, 30-year-old John Cameron Parker, was taken into custody in Indianapolis and returned to Evansville.
20-year-old Caden Wayne Harms turned himself in Thursday.
Parker and Harms face two counts of murder, robbery, and other charges following the shooting deaths of 31-year-old Michael Blankenship Jr. of Evansville and 37-year-old Mitchell Greathouse of Newburgh.
Their bodies were found inside a home in the 2600 block of Mt. Vernon Ave. last weekend.
Police allege Harms acted as a "lookout" and buried the murder weapon behind his house.
Harms' surrender and Parker’s arrest follow the arrest of 30-year-old Richard Dee Garrett, who’s accused of driving the getaway car.
Police records indicate a fourth man supplied a gun to Parker before the killings.
