11-month-old Carsen Taylor Fischer died last month with traces of fentanyl and sedatives in his blood

An Evansville mother has been arrested for the death of her baby, and police are still looking for the father. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Police arrested 27-year-old Kaytlen Sha Dossett on charges of neglect of a dependent causing death, and other neglect charges on Monday.

Police are still looking for the baby’s father, 30-year-old Taylor Mitchell Fischer, who also faces neglect and drug charges.

An obituary from Pierre Funeral Home identified the baby as 11-month-old Carsen Taylor Fischer.   A police affidavit stated the home where the boy was found unresponsive on September 11th was strewn with narcotics.

First responders attempted life-saving measures and took the baby to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The affidavit said the boy had traces of fentanyl and sedatives in his blood.
