EPD: Evansville Man Stabbed Wife to Death

File

Fenel Germain, 27, faces a murder charge; children unharmed

An Evansville man is accused of fatally stabbing his wife. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

Evansville Police were dispatched to a home in the 1600 block of E Michigan St. yesterday (Wed) afternoon for a woman who had been stabbed.

EPD Sgt. Anna Gray says officers found the victim with stab wounds and she was taken to a local hospital.

Gray says the victim died at the hospital.

The coroner’s office has not yet released her name.

Police say officers found a man and two small children inside the residence. They were not injured.

The man, 27-year-old Fenel Germain, was identified as the victim’s husband and father of the two kids.

The EPD says officers interviewed Germain and determined he stabbed his wife multiple times with a knife during an argument.

He’s charged with murder and is being held at the Vanderburgh County jail.
