Officials say a new website will provide more information on reporting internet crimes against children. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force has created the new website.
Indiana State Police oversees the multiagency force that investigates and prosecutes persons who use the internet to exploit or entice children sexually.
It’s at https://www.in.gov/isp/icactf/
State Police say since the inception of the task force in 2005, investigators have seen a significant increase in reports of online sexual exploitation and enticement of kids.
Last year, the Indiana ICAC received more than 14,000 CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
To report an active crime against your child involving the Internet or other electronic means, you’re urged to contact your local law enforcement agency.
