EPD: Woman Claimed to be from ISIS

File

Police arrested Sierra Malloy, 43, for allegedly setting fire to an American Flag and threatening officers

A woman is in the Vanderburgh County jail after police say she claimed to be with ISIS and threatened to kill officers. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

An Evansville Police reports says it happened outside the Spectrum Building on Fares Avenue near Maxwell Sunday morning.

The affidavit says first responders were called to a grass fire where someone was screaming at people.

That person was identified as 43-year-old Sierra Malloy.

Police say Malloy had taken the American Flag off of Spectrum’s pole, burned it, and put an ISIS flag in its place.

While being placed into custody, officers say she threatened to cut off the heads of those arresting her.

Malloy is being held in the Vanderburgh County jail on multiple charges and no bond.
