EPD Investigates 4 Shootings, Likely Connected

File

Two people were wounded in the gunfire

Evansville Police say four shootings in two days are likely connected. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

EPD Sgt. Anna Gray says the first incident was Sunday night at about 8:30 in the 600 block of Sweetser Avenue.

A man who was outside grilling food was hit twice and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police also responded to shots fired Monday afternoon in the 1700 and 1900 blocks of Taylor Avenue.

No one was hit but bullets went through a privacy fence and a swimming pool where residents, including children, were present.

Just after 9:00 Monday night, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Fares Ave. for shots fired between two vehicles.

No one was reported injured and officers didn’t find any damage in that area.

And then at 10:45 Monday night, a man was shot in the 1700 block of S. Elliott St. and taken to a hospital before officers arrived. His wounds were not considered life threatening.

In two of the cases, the shooters were described as black males wearing ski masks.

Anyone with more information on the shootings is urged to contact Evansville Police.
