ID Released in Deadly Teen Shooting

File

Damarian Stanley, 15, died after Saturday night's gunfire in the 700 block of Monroe Avenue

Authorities have released the name of the Evansville teen shot to death over the weekend. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office says 15-year-old Damarion Stanley died early Sunday morning after Saturday night’s gunfire in the 700 block of Monroe Avenue.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

EPD Sgt. Anna Gray says officers rendered first aid until AMR took over and transported Stanley to Deaconess Midtown Hospital, where he died.

Gray says Central Dispatch received another 911 call about a 17-year-old victim who had been dropped off at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.

The injury appeared to be a graze and the victim was alert and conscious.

Gray says the two victims were involved in the same shooting and no arrests have been made.

The suspects were described as three black males wearing all black and latex gloves.

Anyone with more information about the shooting is urged to contact Evansville Police.
