Knox County Couple Accused of Child Neglect

Source: ISP

ISP: Kids had little food, were living in poor conditions, and lacked medical attention

A Knox County couple has been arrested on neglect charges. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Indiana State Police say the arrests are the result of an investigation that started last September.

42-year-old Aaron Bourland and 34-year-old Amanda Bourland, both of Bicknell, are accused of neglecting their four children, ages 2 months to 13 years.

ISP Detective Nick Hatfield said the kids were living in poor conditions, had little food to consume, and were not receiving proper medical attention.

After reviewing the investigation, the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges against Aaron and Amanda Bourland for Neglect of a Dependent, a Level 6 Felony.

The two were arrested Thursday afternoon and the children were placed in custody of the Indiana Division of Child Services.
