Kentar Collins, 23, was wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of Jaylen Curlee, 25

A man wanted for questioning after a fatal shooting in Evansville last weekend has surrendered. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Evansville Police described 23-year-old Kentar Collins as a “person of interest” in the shooting death of 25-year-old Jaylen Curlee in the 1500 block of Judson St. early Sunday.

EPD Sgt. Anna Gray says Collins and his attorney arrived at police headquarters Tuesday afternoon and Collins turned himself in.

After meeting with detectives, police say Collins was arrested, taken to the Vanderburgh County jail, and booked on a charge of Murder.

Collins is accused of shooting Curlee multiple times from his car while meeting with a female. Police said Collins then drove away.

First responders attempted life saving measures on Curlee but he died at the scene.
