Authorities Identify 3 Victims of Smith Mills Shootings

KSP

Saturday night gunfire appeared to be a murder-suicide

Authorities have released the identities of three people shot to death in Smith Mills, Kentucky. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

The deceased were identified as 26-year-old Arianna Ziebell, 42-year-old Joshua Mallory, and 27-year-old Mason Quinn.

Kentucky State Police say Henderson County dispatchers were alerted to the shooting in the 6200 block of State Road 136-West in Smith Mills at about 8:30 Saturday night.

The KSP says officers found two gunshot victims − Ziebell and Mallory − outside the home.

Ziebell was deceased at the scene. Mallory was taken to an Evansville hospital where he later died.

An emergency response team was called to the scene when police learned four children were inside the home.

The KSP says troopers and Henderson County deputies got all four kids out of the house safely in less than an hour.

Police then found Quinn dead inside the house from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities have not said what led to the apparent murder-suicide.
