Both shootings were in the 1000 block of E. Mulberry

Evansville Police are investigating a shooting that wounded two people. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of E Mulberry St. late Sunday night.

They found a female victim had been shot in her arm and leg and a male victim had been shot in the chest.

EPD Sgt. Anna Gray says both were conscious and taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Police say both victims were walking outside when they were shot.

The EPD says there were possibly two suspects who shot at the victims and took off running.

The suspects were reportedly wearing black clothing, which matches the description of suspects in a fatal shooting in the same area last Tuesday.

35-year-old Ronald Eugene Eastwood Jr. of Evansville died in that shooting.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to contact police at 812-436-7979.
