A man is charged with murder after a missing man was found dead in an Evansville home. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Evansville Police say officers received a tip that led them to obtaining a search warrant for a house in the 1800 block of S. Linwood last week.
Once inside, they found a deceased male covered in a tarp and wrapped in twine.
The man was identified as 57-year-old Patrick A. White.
He had been reported missing since July 7th.
The Coroner’s Office determined White had been shot and his death was a homicide.
The EPD says another tip led them to a home in the 6000-block of Rockford Dr. on Friday.
Police arrested 33-year-old Michael L. Thomas for allegedly killing White. Thomas was taken to the Vanderburgh County jail.
Officers released a second person who was detained at the time of Thomas’ arrest.
